A time set aside just for me to gather my thoughts, share my ideas, and to communicate with the world.

Book Review- Fearless by Max Lucado

The author starts the book explaining how this world is motivated and run by fear. He uses many examples of Jesus in the boat in the middle of the storms, to signify to us how if we let fear run our life through the trials we will paralyze ourselves. He goes on to talk about what is important to us as people, that we matter, and that we are worth something.

One of the chapters is title "Sinking Fast", and he referred to fear by describing Peter when he was caught in the storm on the boat. As long as Peter's eyes were fixed on the Lord, he was able to walk on water. Then fear set in and Peter took his eyes of the Lord, and started to sink. I know there has been times when I was focused on God, and then something would happen, a trial and I would get caught up within myself and the problem seemed to spiral out of control. I remember as a child when I would hear a noise outside, and let my imagination and fear take over. I would literally be in hysterics. Often times, as a child I would sleep with my bible and felt safe and secure.

Fear has the ability to paralyze us, utterly preventing us from making a next move if we let it. Even though our fears are real, and litterally are a possibility, not putting our trust in the Lord will allow them to grow, and hold us back from living the life that we are suppose too. The author told of a story when he was a small boy, of riding in his fathers lap while the father drove the car. I remember doing that with my parents as well, like the author I was never concerned about wrecking the car, or going into a ditch because I knew I was under the guidance and protection from my parent. Jesus is literally that parent, if we put our trust in him to guide us like we are driving the car, we will be able to enjoy the journey.

Overall, this was a very good book with actual suggestions on how to put away the fear, putting our trust in the Lord and living our life. I recommend this book to anyone who battles this demon of fear.

Book Review- Letting Go by Sheila Walsh

In this book "Letting Go," the author's first comments were about receiving grace from God. Not just grace to get by a situation, but the grace needed to change your lifestyle. The common mistakes or traps that woman get caught up in, (self-doubt, unforgiveness, self loathing, fear, loneliness) are talked about in a way that you will be able to apply them to your life and be set free. God wants us to be free and full of his grace, and not lead a life that society often portays and expects us to have. All this unhappiness and misery, was redeemed by him on the cross, its up to us to accept it.

Sheila Walsh talked further about how to see God in everything that we do, and finding grace in all things.
To me this book showed a "how to approach" to finding the love and peace that we so desperately yearn for.

Forever: A poem I wrote

Forever

I give you my heart, through laughter, and tears

Dedicated to you until our golden years.

I promise to love you and do you right

Kissing and holding you each and every night

I know there will be times I may not understand

But I will nurture, caress you and hold your hand

I look forward to sharing our life

Respecting you always, your loving wife

College count down begins.....

Well we have finally managed to pack up Kate's room, it looks so empty. All the boxes are loaded in the truck. We ran errands today, last minute things, prescriptions, dry cleaning, and bought her a fan! Her dorm doesn't have AC, I guess that will build character. We will leave here around midnight tonight, and then we will be able to drop her stuff off around nine, then off to Walmart we will go! Lil Ej is not too thrilled about Kate leaving, he doesnt believe that family should leave. No matter how we try to explain its for the good thing, he is not having it.....

It looks like it is going to storm tonight, great, just what we need going up the top of the mountain... well I guess that is enough for now.

Keys to Organization

The key to organization is to break down larger projects into smaller projects, allowing each project to becoming more manageable. Today, we are talking about managing your bills, so that each month you will not have to scramble looking as to where that bill happened to be placed.

Organization of your Monthly Bills.
Setting Up Your Filing System. To start organizing your bills, you will need a small two drawer filing cabinet. The first drawer will be set up with a file for each company that you receive a bill from, in alphabetical order. The second drawer will be labeled January thru December, using the green hanging file folders with the tab listing the month, and each hanging folder you will have a manila folder with the title January 2009, or whichever month you are in when you start. Make sure that you put the year on the manila folder, for you will repeat this cycle every year.

Begin Using Your Drawer.
During the Month that you are in, when you begin receiving your monthly bills; simply place the bill in the corresponding file that it belongs in. Usually in the middle of the month, I set up the next month’s folder, for you will begin receiving bills for the upcoming month.

Setting Up an Excel Spreadsheet.
Once you have finished setting up your file system, you will create a basic list of bills using the Excel Spreadsheet. At the top of the sheet you will write Month______________. Your spreadsheet will have four columns. Listing your Bills. Starting with column one, and moving parallel ending with column four, list the following (1) the name of the bill, preferably in alphabetical order. (2) The amount due on the bill, (3) date in which the bill was paid, (4) method that was used to pay it. (I.e. credit card, online check.) Save this as and label it Master Copy- Monthly Bills.

Creating a New Month.
Begin a new month by listing the month and year at the top of your page. Begin to fill out your list using your monthly folder, by filing out each column of your spreadsheet. Once completed, save as a document, labeled May 2009, for example. Place a copy of your spreadsheet in your monthly folder. You will have this folder to reference back at a later date. After about 90 days, clean out your monthly folder by putting each bill in their labeled folder in drawer one.

This is our first lesson on getting organized.

The Poop Monster

Our two smaller children at home are 6 and 9 years old now, growing up so fast. Although I miss them being babies, I surely do not miss the bottle and diaper stages. My step-daughter has two children, and I love my grand babies who are 8 and 2 years old. I love them so much that when my daughter told me she was going to have to go to school for the summer, I naturally volunteered to keep her kids.

The summer so far has been relatively entertaining, with the extra noise and the extra activities to keep them entertained; hence, I don't lose my sanity. Having extra children has been a lot of work and I go to bed tired. Last night after a long day, I fed the kids and they had their showers, so it was finally quiet time, my "me" time.

I was sitting on my computer, talking to a friend when all of a sudden, the two year old starts crying. While hubby was on hold with Best Buy, trying to figure out how to work a twenty five hundred dollar television that is impossible to operate. The kid's start yelling "she pooped, she pooped," as the baby is still crying. I came out to see what in the world was going on, the child had made a mess! Unbenounced to me, my daughter was still on the phone, but someone had laid the phone down on the floor during the commotion. I am so glad, I didn't say anything out of the way, with my daughter listening to all of this. The kids were screaming, my husband is yelling that it is new carpet, and I am scrambling looking for wipes, and trying to keep it together. The poor baby is now traumatized.

Although this is not the way I wanted to end my day, everyone settled and the mess was cleaned up. I picked up the phone, and put the baby on the phone with her, so she would know that we were not in the process of killing her, that she was fine. I finally put the kids to bed, pondered whether or not I should take a Tylenol Pm, but decided my body was tired enough all on its own.

I thanked the Lord we got through this, and also praised that I was so happy to be passed this stage with my children, and went to bed. I am sure that today, will bring me excitement and wonders today.

Another Busy Day...

The kids went to the last day of Vacation Bible School, and they had a blast! They have learned so much this summer. Tomorrow we will probably hit the local Chuck E Cheese, I have a box full of coins from last time. Its not easy keeping four kids occupied, lol.
It rained today, Thank God, so we didn't have to go outside to "play". Its been well over the Ninety degree mark for the last few days.

Kate is getting packed up for college, she has boxes everywhere! I think she is excited, and I haven't been upstairs to see her room, it will be sad enough when she leaves. I will also lose my back up babysitter, so I can go to the doctor's appointment alone, or just need to run out errands without a car full of screaming kids!

Took Elijah today to the doctor for his school physical, he was really good even though it took them two hours almost to get out of there! I was worried about him possibly being anemic, due to the fact that he is always cold, and is a poor eater. They are doing a complete blood culture, oh he will be thrilled... and a Thyroid screening. Wow... I can hardly wait to get it done.

Getting Shay signed up for school, since she is going to start school with us. Soccer sign ups are this week, but all three will be playing in only two different leagues, so that generally means only four days on the soccer field. Whew... I thought it was going to be at least five.

Anthony is coaching high school football. That really keeps him busy, four hour practices five days a week, games on Wednesday and Varsity on Friday... On top of all that, they review the tapes on Sunday.... so I think our life will be extremely hectic....
But I love it all and wouldn't trade it for anything.......

25 Things about me.....

1. I am the mom to five kids: 20, 18, 16, 9,6 years old. I started early!

2. I am happily married to my soul mate, and we have a very busy life together.

3. I love taking classes, and learning new things, I want to finish with at least a Masters degree.

4. I love my church Calvary Revival Church. Http://www.crcglobal.org

5. I love, I mean love to go shopping, and I can go through alot of money, mainly clothes.

6. I have an extreme fear of doctors and getting things done. I will avoid it as long as I can.

7. I have to have a calender, and a task list or else it doesn't get done.

8. I love my kids, but do not like to babysit.

9. I hate cooking, and I love to eat out. My favorite restaurant is Bonefish and the
Outback. I love steak, salad and ice tea.

10. I love watching my husband coach football.

11. My kids play sports all year round, and I am always at some sort of field or
another.

12. My family is very dysfunctional, so that is why we strive to make our family
strong.

Don't Just be a Woman... Be A Kingdom Woman

I wanted to share with you notes from my church, Calvary Revival Church... http://www.crcglobal.org. Bishop Courtney McBath. These are from his sermon.
If you would like to actually hear the sermon, here is the link

Pt 4: Don't Just Be A Woman...Be A Kingdom Woman

Notes taken from Joshua 2: 1-13

Bishops starts out by addressing the common view that is placed upon woman, "basically based on preference and opinion, not on truth and principle." What does that mean to me? It makes me think that others view woman as somewhat shallow, and superficial. Bishop McBath explains this further by stating " Too frequently the discussion of woman, is based on the lines of hair, dress, personality, and mannerisms." Jesus never view woman as having these qualities, in fact, he went on to talk about the value, redemption and faith of kingdom woman.

It doesn't surprise us that Rahab the harlot was the original kingdom woman in spite of or possibly because of her influential profession.

What are the characteristic of a Kingdom Woman?

1. Kingdom woman know how to pick a winner!
You change the way you pick your friends.
You change the way you pick who you love.
You change the way you choose a church.

2. Kingdom women know how to negotiate.
When you put God first, expect a blessing! MT. 6.33
When you connect with His Kingdom it saves your life.

She wasn't religious, she was desperate to save her family!
Negotiate for more than just you- family!

Don't Just be a woman... Be a Kingdom Woman.
Joshua 2.1-13

Hebrew 11:30-31. By faith Rahab the harlot did not perish along with those who were disobedient, after she had welcomed the spies in peace.

3. Kingdom women know what to say and when to say it. (verses 3, 4)
She was at war for her life with her enemy!

It doesn't need to be justified what she did- God put her on the roll call of Faith! Sarah, Moses's mother and women in general were applauded.

She used her words to turn her enemy around.

When you speak the word of faith, you turn the enemy around. You say what you believe, not what you see.

Kingdom women know how to protect the vision- words!

4. Kingdom women know how to get what they need from God! James 2:25-26

Verse 25 states, "In the same way, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? 26. For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.

Kingdom women know how to stay connected to God! Mt. 15.26

No man ever came to Jesus after being called a dog!

Rahab became a Jewish proselyte because the God who saved her life deserved her allegiance!

Kingdom women will talk to him about what they don't understand. Jn. 4.7

No man ever argued with Jesus one on one!

Kingdom women put actions with their talk! Mt. 9.20

No man ever crawled to Jesus!

Joshua 2:18-19

"18, unless, when we come into the land, you tie this cord of scarlet thread in the window through which you let us down, and gather to yourself into the house your father and your mother and your brothers and all your father's household." NASU

Tuesday, the longest day ever!

Today was exceptionally challenging. The girls seemed to take every opportunity to drive me crazy. They fought all day long! One child would scream, and the other would push. Anyways, we all survived the day.

Ran errands and got a lot done today, which was good to be productive. Well I am going to bed, have a long day ahead of me tomorrow.
Night all.

Quiet Saturday Afternoon

This morning we got up and went and looked at parts for the RV. That was fun, there is so much out there for an RV. I am so excited to hit the road! My hubby and kids and I went to a Chinese buffet, which is always good.... I am writing on the computer while family plays quietly or is taking a nap. Rented some movies, so I guess we will watch the TV.. Life relaxing is good.

Today I had to take Elijah to the Dentist.

Elijah had to go to the dentist today, they found a cavity growing on the side of his tooth, where the gum line hid it. He had to have it pulled. I was really worried that he would not do well, so in order to avoid a traumatic, I need therapy for life reaction; the dentist sedated him. He just sat in the chair, and actually fell asleep during the procedure. After that, we went to Chick Fillet, and got him a homemade milk shake, yum. A trip to Target in the toy section, helped him feel much better as well.

On another note, we picked up our RV tonight. It needs a transmission put in it but other than that, we will be ready to go... So excited about it...

Well I guess thats enough for now. Talk to you tomorrow.

Wisdom to understand your man.... A reading

I am reading Debi Pearls book, "Created to be his Help Meet.." I am currently in chapter eight, which the title reads, "Wisdom to Understand your man." The side comment on the chapter states, " A wise woman learns to adapt to her husband." Wow

Anthony and I have been together a decade, and I can honestly say that to me previously, my thoughts were, "He is just so complicated, I don't understand him." When actually, the author goes on to describe generally three types of men. It stood out clear as day for me, Anthony is a Mr. Command Man... The authors states that these men are born with a great share of dominance, and are natural born leaders. The are great commanders, and their main goal is to get a job completed with precision, and often do more than is required of them.

Mr. command man is often known for expecting their wives to wait of them hand and foot, and more often they do not want their wives to be involved in projects that would interfere with taking care of them. They expect extreme loyalty, faithfulness, love and obedience. Often as the military perfects, a Command Man see's the bigger picture and strives to help the greater number. The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few.

The author goes on to say, that if a wife learns to enjoy the benefits of taking the second seat, and if she does not take offense to his headstrong aggressiveness, she will be the one sitting at his right side being adored, because this kind of man will totally adore his woman and exalt her. After all these years, I finally got it, Anthony treats me like a Queen, and there is nothing that I want, that I don't already have. Like I said before, he adores me and protects us all from any and all harm.

I dont understand why it took so many years for me to get this, the first few years, since I was a single mom, it seems like all we did was bump heads. I was too independent, and often did what was good for me, and not for the benefit of the family.

It is my hope and prayers for us as woman of the home, to get to know early on what makes our man tick, and what is relevent for maintaining your home in harmony. I have found out that there is really not any Titus 2 woman out there, that I have met that have been willing or able to guide me.. Most of the things I have learned, have been trial and error........

I hope that this can help others understand how to make their family run more peacefully..... Marriage is alot of work...but it is well worth the fight.

July 25, 2009

The Movies tonight....

Anthony and I decided to get out of the house tonight, and take the kids to the movies. There was four of us, and we went to see the G Force, 3D disney.... well tickets for two adults and two kids, came to 46.00! We then went to the popcorn line, and bought two kids popcorns, and a med. soda and popcorn that Anthony and I shared, another 25.00, cant believe how expensive it was... So we watched four hampsters scurry around trying to save the world... in 3D... amazing. lol

I have decided to be more organized, because I can never find anything in my file cabinet when I need it, so I started scanning everything and their momma, so now I have disks labeled 1,2 etc.. with a list to note what is on each disk...wow.

Well getting ready to go to Facebook, check in later.

Beginning of the Week.....

Well as you know, we still have a full house. Katelyn is, I am sure of it, preparing to pack up for her college dorm. The little one's and I are going to register for soccer today. Alexis has played on the same coach's team for the last three to four seasons. For youth soccer, this coach is awesome. She played soccer in school, and has taught all of the players several positions. When Alexis is ready for high school, she will be ready to play, for they have been taught on a high school level for the last couple of years. The team only lost one game last year. We are excited!

On another note, the grand babies are here with us for the summer. It has been nice for the kids to be able to see each other, and play together.

Well got to get the day started, Kate and I are going to go to a few Thrift Stores today, a big garage sale! What fun to find bargains.......
Talk to you later...

Went to Kate's College Orientation

Left last night about 8:30 pm and arrived in Norton about 3:30am. It was in the mountains and was a long drive. Anthony drove thank God, for the hills and the curves were incredible. If I could see it, I would have probably freaked...LOL.... He is such a good guy, always manages to get things done, and people taken care of.

Kate stayed at the school, and we just all chilled and relaxed at the hotel, spending good time together.

Will post some pictures, about our trip....

July 16, 2009

Taking Kate to Orientation for School

Well today is the day we leave to take Kate to school. She is going to
get her schedule, follow up w/financial aid, see the school dorms, and
everything to wrap it up. She is excited, and I guess I am for her. It is
always difficult for me when one of my children, "leave the nest."

You wonder as a mother, did I tell her everything that I should have
to keep her safe? Is she going to use the common sense, that I drilled
into her over the years about locking doors, not putting her drink down,
walking after its dark, and on and on........ I sure hope so......

I hope she makes good choices, and manages her money well. She will
still have my support, and I will over see her finances, but this is it for
her. I am only going to do this her first year, next year she will manage
it all.

I hope that I have instilled good values for her, and I especially hope
that I have planted the seed of belief in God and faith. Lord knows
there will be time when that is all that will pull her through...

I love my daughter, but now its time to let go.....

July 1, 2009

We have been home almost a week.

Well we are settled back home from vacation, and I havent written anything lately so I thought I would send an update. The kids have been busy with VBS, and are loving it.... I have been finishing up the painting on the house and doors, what fun!

The grandkids are going to spend the summer with us, Dani has to go to school, so Ali and Ej are going to have a blast! I will keep them all busy this summer, so they dont drive me crazy!

Well I guess that is all I have for now, until next time.

Fort Eustis History

Fort Eustis History

Monday- Our last day on vacation.

Wanted to spend the last day of vacation at the beach. Drove again to the beach, but a storm must have been brewing because it was really rough.... Left and went back to the hotel to the pool. Finished up the laundry and packed..... Hit the restaurant and bar later that night and had a great time........Tired of spending money, I know that much.

Sunday- Father's Day

This morning we woke up and gave Daddy his gifts....and planned to spend the day with the kids and we would go out alone for dinner that night. Went to the beach, but that really wasnt all that successful, it was too rough..... We did have a really nice dinner and spent some great time together.

June 20, 2009

Beach Today..... Saturday

We slept in till ten o clock this morning,  and casually got up and went to St. Pete's Beach. The weather was hot, and the water was like bath water. Got alot of sun today, actually everybody did. Came back to the hotel, and ate the rest of the pizza from last night.

Tommorrow is Father's Day and we are going to go to the beach, and then Anthony and I are going to spend time together going to dinner.

Three more days and we head home.....

Friday- Hollywood Park formally MGM Grand

Got up early this morning, and packed up the car.. Today we were off to Hollywood to meet
the stars! We walked around the park, the kids saw the Power Rangers, The characters from
the movie UP, Snow White, all the children's characters. It was again hot..... but we survived
the heat. After the Park, we headed to Tampa!
Arrived in Tampa about nine in the evening, and did about 4 loads of laundry! Went and got
some really good Chicago style pizza and after a stop at Walmart, headed on back to the
hotel.
Tommorrow we are headed to St. Pete's beach for some more R and R........
Will write more tommorrow.

Thursday- Lagoon, and then Disney Market Place

We actually started out at Blizzard Park, a water park, but most of it were slides for big
kids. Lagoon actually had alot more for the smaller kids to do, plus Anthony loved the
scuba diving so much we left Blizzard, and went over there.....It was pretty hot, oh about
as hot as hell.... again! After spending the day into late afternoon in the park, it started
to pour!!!! Left the park and went to Disney Market Place and then Quest.... It was fun,
but I was ready to get back to the hotel room to rest! Long Day!

Well thats about it for today!

June 17, 2009

Wednesday- Magic Kingdom Vacation

Today we went to Magic Kingdom, it was about 94 degree's today.. Hotter than hell. We lasted until about 4:00 or so, then left to Go to Disney Quest, which is a three story interactive video game buildings.

Alexis had two large swollen glands on the back of her neck, which she said was really painful.
She had complained yesterday, that her chest hurt when she breathed. We ended up taking
her to the emergency room in Fla. She had a small case of Bronchitis... poor baby, but we got
her anti-biotics and she should feel better tommorrow. We went to dinner at Chili's and came
back to the hotel and watched Animal Planet.

Tommorrow we are going to either Blizzard Beach or the Lagoon again. We might go to the World Wide Sports as well.

Having a great vacation....
talk tommorrow

June 16, 2009

Today we went to Typhoon Lagoon

We had a blast today, way, way too much sun.... Anthony went snorkeling with
the fish and sharks today! I started to go until I found out that water was 68
degree's. It took my breath away, and I chickened out... Wasnt really all
that excited about the shark part, but was going to go with Anthony. He
really enjoyed it, he went about 3-4 times and took a bunch of pictures.
We really enjoyed the lazy lagoon, were you floated on the raft, I think
that we did that no less than 10 times...

It stormed here about 7 pm, right when we were at dinner. It amazes me
as much rain as this place gets, that the roads are as jacked up as they
are. lol. We were going to go to Disney Quest, an interactive gaming
thing but everyone was drained because of the sun. I think most
of us were in bed by nine.

June 15, 2009

We went to Animal Kingdom Today....

Well we got up early and went downstairs to the lobby for breakfast

and of course every one was starving... especially when you have

waffles, yogurt, cereal... etc...lol...

We went to Animal Kingdom which this was our first time visiting this

park, its kinda like the Busch Garden, Tampa but not quite as many rides.

We saw the musical "Finding Nemo." Elijah was cool with that, until the

shark came out.... He was trying to make a fast exit out of there.... Daddy

had to convince him many times that he wouldn't let anything happen to

him. It was nice to sit in the A/C because it was 94 degree's outside.

We went on a Safari in the Park, which was really cool.... Lots and lots of

animals from Africa. Elijah of course got his toys, a Dinosaur puzzle... very

cool.... Ali bought a hat and all the girl's got a dress..... We are all planning

on wearing them to the Lagoon tommorrow, where we will go swimming

with the sharks! Very cool....

Came back to the hotel after the park, and jumped in the pool and jacuzzi....

Now its bedtime, and Elijah is already knocked out.....

June 14, 2009

Well this morning was pretty hectic, but we made it. The weather is
gorgeous, and we went to the beach first thing when we got here. The
water was so clear and warm, I thought I was in the Islands. The kids
all had a good time. Tommorrow we are going to go to Animal Kingdom.
I have never been so it should be a blast! well i will write more after we
get back from the park.

Today's Kate's Big Day

In just a few hours Katelyn is taking a step in life, graduation. I know it

will be bitter-sweet. I have so many emotions about this.

June 12, 2009

Its Friday, two days before Vacation.

Well I finally finished running around, buying last minute things for the trip.
I dont know how, but I ended up at the mall and bought two dresses and a
pair of shorts.... Then it was off to the make-up store to replenish my lipsticks
and foundation.... I am glad I dont have to buy that all the time, It really
adds up! Thank God Anthony is a firm believer in beauty products, and nails
for I would never be able to afford me! LOL

Today is the kids last day of school, and so I know they will have a whole
bunch of stuff to bring home.

Katelyn is getting ready to go to the final practice for graduation. She is
then going out to dinner with a teacher and a few friends. I have told her
that she is going to have to quit calling her teacher Miss..... not on that level
anymore.....

Well I guess thats enough for now, will write later

June 11, 2009

Elijah's Field Day and Picnic at school

Today was a special day for Elijah, his class had field day and a picnic.
He was running all around, playing different games and having a great
time with his little friends. After Field Day, we had a picnic of hot dogs,
chips and cookies. Although it was hot outside, they had a blast and of
course I took 64 pictures and video taped it. I have posted all the photo's
on the family website. http://familylobby.com/pollardfamily
Enough for now, gotta run some errands for the trip.

June 10, 2009

Wednesday before vacation

Right in the middle of packing for our vacation, Anthony gets a call that his aunt passed away. We had just taken a visit to see her a couple of weeks ago, and knew this was coming, so it wasn't unexpected. She died of cancer. Not sure, if we will have to make an another trip down there or not. Anthony may end up going by himself, we have a very busy week at school and graduation.
Elijah has a school picnic and field day tommorrow at school, so I will be sure to take lots of pictures. Alexis is going to be helping Mrs. Wright, the teacher with all the kids.
Kate is frantically finishing up finals at school, stressing out about graduation and to top it off she lost her bank card! What a day.....
Well just a quick note to say hello, and I will write more later on when Its quiet.

Technorati Profile

Why is it so hard to get good customer service?

Today I am over it, I paid a bill off that went to my credit report and I had to call 6 different numbers and talked to four different people, to try and get a receipt. Then the jack ass tells me that they wont report it positive until the third of next month. I told him, "You didnt say you would take my payment on the third of next month." Finally, I hope, I got someone to help me. Still waiting for the emailed receipt as we speak.
Finally broke down yesterday and went to the doctors office for my cramps. Well I told the nurse pract. that I needed something for my cramps. She said she would call it in for me. I drive all the way across town and she did not send it correctly. So I called, and told the doctors office that I would come by and pick it up. She said she figured it out, and that it was there at the pharmacy. Mind you, I have already driven back to the office.
I proceed to drive my little butt once again across town to the pharmacy, wait in line for that. I pick up the prescription, and she called in Naproxen! I have plenty of anti-inflammatorys at home. Of course, the office was closed by this time.
I woke up this morning and called the doctor back, the nurse returns my call and tells me that "she is comfortable with the prescription she hadden written me, and that is should be good enough for the pain. Do you know how I wanted to climb through the phone? I told her that it was unacceptable, and she said she would call me back. Still waiting.....
Why is it that someone else thinks they know better? Why is it so damn hard to get good service, they have NO problem taking our mmoney.
Well I guess that is it for now.....

Getting ready for Vacation

Have less than a week before we leave for vacation, havent even pulled the suitcases down.... Better get a move on, I do not want to be scrambling at the last minute as usual. I dont know why I procrastinate? Drives me insane....lol

This is Kate's last week on school in high school. She wants me to come and get her early, lol... that child never wants to stay at school. So of course, I will.

Little kids are doing well, busy with TaeKwando, just finished soccer. Alexis is talking about summer gymnastics, we will see I can only be so many places at once...

Want something different

Looking through the jobs for AP in Germany. I want my kids to see the world, not just the US. I want them to be cultured and well diversed. It would really be nice to travel. See where that goes.
Elijah is determined to pull his loose tooth out, and getting frustrated because it will not come out. Attending Alexis's soccer party tonight, oh boy. What fun! Let you know how that goes
